Hacienda del Fiscal
As above so below, our universe is perfect and our mission is to care for it ranging from a micro to a macro level. At Hacienda del Fiscal our family does just that by embracing this concept with love and a glocal approach. We are an organically certified farm and follow Global GAP methods but we do much more as our holistic approach embodies permaculture principles that enable us to thrive in harmony with mother nature.

We care
Ana, Cristina and Oscar (all siblings listed in order of age) with Swiss, Greek and Spanish blood - are building a home in Hacienda del Fiscal and taking care of the earth to provide a healthy life for the next generation whilst ensuring that our healthy and fresh products reach your home. Real food from real people to real people.
We do not use chemical fertilisers or pesticides and focus on the wellbeing of our soil to improve production. We do this by producing local soil amendments and fertilisers using natural manures from neighbouring farms and strategically grown plants that are nitrogen fixing and can be used to produce mulch. We take care in following lunar cycles as our predecessors have done for many generations to guide harvests, planting and much more.
Our brand new watering system (drip irrigation) ensures a careful use of this precious resource and that our plants remain hydrated during the long and warm southern summers. We are able to use water from our well in combination with an ancient water canal (called Acequia in Spanish - stemming from the Arabic) to keep the farm flourishing.
Our Animal Family
-
Dogs
Shiva a Bernese Mountain-Dog, Apolo (in the foto) a Mastiff, Tuxi a Border Collie and Hera a Mastiff pup make up our canine gang. They have been with us from day one and keep our farm and animals safe. They roam freely and enjoy a tranquil life many would envy.

Geese
The latest addition to Hacienda del Fiscal, we have a family of 6 laying geese - 3 are white and 3 are grey. We think they are split 50/50 male and female (but its hard to tell). We can confirm at least two couples because two are now brooding their first batch of eggs!

Donkeys
Donkeys are sadly endangered and there is a big push for helping their population grow. Unfortunately people have looked down on them and opted to keep horses instead. They are extremely intelligent and must be kept in pairs as they are very social. With your help we can save many!
